Metra continues to bring exclusive radio replacement solutions to market like the 95-6517HG for aftermarket DDIN mounting and the 99-6517HG for a single DIN solution. These parts are specific to the 2014 Dodge Dart models without the factory 8 inch touchscreen. The flaw in this application is that the factory radio opening is a mere quarter inch too small to fit an aftermarket radio into. Instead of a dash replacement the size of Texas, Metra engineers designed a beautiful trim panel to go over the factory dash after a little cutting to make the factory radio opening wide enough. The flawless high gloss paint on the 6517HG’s trim panel matches up to the factory parts seamlessly. The only way to avoid a wiring mess and to make this a plug and play install is by using the 40-EU55 amplified antenna adapter and the new XSVI-6523-NAV AXXESS interface.
